Holiday Story Series
Fort Lee Public Library welcomed our P.I.E. Holiday Story Series on
December 7th. This free performance was sponsored by our Buy a Piece
of the P.I.E. initiative and featured carols and festive stories
highlighting several holiday traditions. |

Our First Grants
In November of 2005, ASTC received our first small grants from
RadioShack Corporation and The Independence Community
Foundation. “As part of its continuing effort to improve the
quality of life for America’s families, RadioShack Corporation has
awarded All Seasons Theatre Company a StreetSentz Community Grant.”
This grant has been used to develop a script and study guide for a
new P.I.E. program on bullying. “The Independence Community
Foundation continues in Independence Community Bank’s tradition of
support for local activities, but also emphasizes a broader program
of comprehensive, targeted community development.” This grant will
be used to produce another pilot of our Musicals in the Making
Festival.
We would like to thank both RadioShack
Corporation and The Independence Community Foundation for their
support. |

Buy a Piece of the P.I.E.
In addition to reaching students in schools, we launched our Buy a
Piece of the P.I.E. (BPP) program at Holy Name Hospital on October
2, 2005 that brought our P.I.E. troupe, free of charge, to perform
for sick children and their families. Children and other patients
who were too sick to come to the performance venue were still able
to enjoy the performance as it was simulcast to all the rooms via
satellite. Board member Caryl Kourgelis sponsored this first BPP
performance. |

Annual Fundraiser and Awards Event
On Sunday, September 25, 2005, ASTC sponsored our 2nd annual
fundraiser and awards event at Vitale’s in Teaneck, NJ. Once again,
we honored two remarkable individuals – four-time Tony Award winner
John Kander was on hand to receive our Musical Theatre Master Award
from advisory board member Brother Augustine Towey and Clinton
Carbon, Chair of the Fine Arts Department at Dwight-Englewood
School, accepted our Children and Art Award from Sesame Street
veteran and advisory board member Bob McGrath.
The intimate crowd was treated to remarkable food
and drink; a silent auction that featured signed sports items,
dinner packages, and centerpiece items like a trip to Atlantic City,
artwork by renowned artist Giovanni Bellia and a Capresso Impressa
Espresso system; raffle prizes and performances by our P.I.E. troupe
and two-time Drama Circle Critic Award winner and friend to ASTC
Kellie Johnson. |

P.I.E. (Projects In Educaton)
Reaching more students and families was our goal. In the 2004/2005 school year, we met and surpassed that goal by reaching over 10,000 students and families in schools all over the tri-state area. We launched a new program, Access Shakespeare, which found life in
Intermediate and High Schools. |
